Dong'ao Island, situated in the southeastern part of Xiangzhou District in Zhuhai, is part of the Wanshan Archipelago. The island lies in the southern waters of the Pearl River Estuary, approximately 19 nautical miles (35.19 km) from Zhuhai and 17 nautical miles (31.49 km) from Macao Special Administrative Region. Covering an area of approximately 4.7 square kilometers, the island is 2.95 kilometers long and 2.88 kilometers wide. With its proximity to Hong Kong and Macao, Dong'ao Island enjoys a prime geographical location. The island’s coastline stretches for 15.09 kilometers, and it features a reservoir spanning 23,800 square meters. The island is well-vegetated with sufficient rainfall, supporting several small streams.
